<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an engine start control device that suppresses extra fuel consumption and restrains engine start failure or vehicle start failure due to excessive correction or a lack of correction, and controls to achieve the most suitable amount of fuel in starting with respect to the amount of engine torque according to the condition of a vehicle during a period between engine restarting and vehicle starting after releasing idle stop. <P>SOLUTION: The engine start control device includes: a calculator for calculating a basic amount of fuel for an engine in restarting corresponding to the amount of torque; a first relevant amount estimator for estimating a first relevant amount relevant to the rotational resistance of the engine; a second relevant amount estimator for estimating a second relevant amount relevant to the rotational resistance of a transmission; a determiner for determining the necessity of correcting the basic amount of fuel based on the difference between the first relevant amount and the second relevant amount; and a setter configured to: calculate, when a correction is determined to be needed, a correction amount of fuel corresponding to the difference and set a corrected basic amount of fuel as the amount of fuel in restarting according to the correction amount of fuel; and meanwhile, when no correction is determined to be needed, set the basic amount of fuel as the amount of fuel in restarting. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
