<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feed device or the like capable of preventing the drawbacks induced when moving a paper housing body in which a large number of papers close to the maximum housing number or reaching the maximum housing number are housed from a housing position to a feed position, upon the release of a delivery rotating body from a held state of a retreat position, the delivery rotating body after the release is brought into contact with the paper stored in the moving paper housing body to induce the drawbacks. <P>SOLUTION: The paper feed device includes: a casing; a paper housing body; a delivery rotating body; a support member therefor; a holding mechanism provided at the casing, displacing the support member in the midway when moving the paper housing body from a feed position toward a housing position so that the delivery rotating body is in a state where it is moved to a retreat position, releasing the holding of the support member in the midway when moving the paper housing body from the housing position toward the feed position so that the support member is freely displaced; and a delay mechanism delaying the required time until the delivery rotating body in the support member displaced after the release by the holding mechanism reaches a contact position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
