<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform high quality image recording by eliminating errors in a minute moving amount of a line head occurring by wear. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet printer includes: a head unit having the line head having a plurality of nozzles arranged therein, and a head holder for holding the line head; and a head moving mechanism for moving the head unit in a main scanning direction different from the direction of the arrangement. The head moving mechanism includes: a cam having at least two abutting positions located at different diameter parts and abutting on the head holder at the abutting positions; a biasing member for biasing the head holder toward the cam; and a motor for rotating the cam and stopping it at the abutting positions. The inkjet printer further includes an abutment releasing part for separating the cam from the head holder during rotation of the cam by the motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
