COMPUTER SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MANAGING COMPUTER SYSTEM
摘要

The present invention selectively implements an adequate coping method if the volume of pool for providing a real storage area to a virtual logic volume becomes insufficient. A management computer determines whether or not a given pool needs to extend the pool size exists on the basis of the use conditions of each pool. If a given pool is detected, of a volume adding method for adding unused real volume to the given pool and a data transfer method for transferring virtual logic volume data to another pool except for the given pool, the management computer selects at least any one of the methods on the basis of a given selection criterion, and extends the pool size of the given pool in accordance with the selected method.
