The spinneret for the prodn. of mineral and glass fibres is composed of Pt containing at least one other alloying element which is wholly or partly removed by a thermal treatment either before or after use of the spinneret. The metal is pref. a type which does not affect the vacancy order of the crystal lattice such as Ni, or Mo, V, Co, Cu, Cr, Mn and/or Fe. |
