PURPOSE: A walking supporter and a driving method thereof are provided, which are capable of driving without separate manipulation by a user. CONSTITUTION: A walking supporter driving method comprises: a step of deciding walking direction based on the measured power; a step of deciding walking speed; and a step of generating a driving signal based on the walking direction and speed and outputting the driving signal. The step of generating and outputting a driving signal comprises a step of controlling walking speed and a step of generating and outputting a driving signal.
