INSTALL STRUCTURE OF BALLAST VALVE

PURPOSE: A ballast valve installation structure is provided to remove the need for a duct keel by extending a cofferdam to a duct keel section, thereby reducing ship building costs and time. CONSTITUTION: A ballast valve installation structure comprises a cofferdam extension section(120') and a ballast valve(124). The cofferdam extension section is extended from the center of the bottom of a cofferdam, which is provided between a storage tank for a cargo space of a hull to the lower part of the hull. The ballast valve is installed in the cofferdam extension section and exposed toward the cofferdam.
