<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device that can stably cool a heat source, and to provide a projector with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The cooling device includes: a pump 20 having a pump chamber whose capacity can be changed by driving a piston or a movable wall, an inlet passage which makes fluid flow into the pump chamber, an outlet passage which makes the fluid flow out of the pump chamber, and a fluid resistance element which is arranged between the inlet passage and the pump chamber, and opens and closes the inlet passage; a circulation passage 18 which circulates the fluid to the inlet passage from the outlet passage; and a second passage 19 which is formed in a portion near the inlet passage rather than the outlet passage of the circulation passage 18, and adjusts the pressure of the fluid flowing into the pump chamber. An adjusting capacity of the second passage 19 is an adjusting capacity V<SB POS="POST">B</SB>which satisfies a formula [number 1] when a pressure-increase amount of the fluid of the circulation passage 18 is set as ΔP, a volume increase amount of the circulation passage 18 at that time is set as ΔV, and pressure at the side of the outlet passage of the circulation passage 18 at the circulation of the fluid is set as P<SB POS="POST">S</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
