<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing zeolite which is excellent in respects of catalytic activity and catalyst life. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing zeolite is characterized by including: a step (1) which prepares a matured product including crystals by maturing a mixed liquid containing a silicon compound, water and a structure regulating agent; a step (2) which carries out hydrothermal synthesis reaction after mixing the matured product including crystals prepared in the step (1) with an additional silicon compound, additional water and an additional structure regulating agent; a step (3) which separates solids from the reaction mixture obtained at the step (2); a step (4) which fires the solids separated at the step (3); and a step (5) which carries out catalytic treatment of the fired product obtained in the step (4) in an aqueous solution which contains at least one selected from the group consisting of ammonia and ammonium salt. ε-Caprolactam is produced by carrying out Beckmann rearrangement reaction of cyclohexanone in a gas phase using the zeolite produced in this way as the catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
