PRODUCTION OF TRICYCLIC NON-NATURAL TYPE ALKALOID USING VEGETABLE POLYKETIDE SYNTHASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means to make a complicated alkaloid skeleton efficiently and at once under the clean and mild conditions and under the ordinary temperature and normal pressure.

SOLUTION: A compound expressed by formula (I) (the definition of substituents in the formula is given in the specification) or its salt is disclosed. A method of producing the compound expressed by the formula (I) includes a process in which a mutation III type polyketide synthase is used as a catalyst, and thereby the condensation reaction of a 2-carbamoyl benzoyl CoA derivative and a malonyl-CoA derivative is carried out.
