<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer which can be surely and strongly attached to a thin workpiece, and to provide a caulking mounting structure of a spacer. <P>SOLUTION: The spacer has a head part 2, a hollow shaft part 3, and a part 4 to be caulked which is provided between the head part 2 and the hollow shaft part 3 and which has a diameter smaller than that of the head part. The head part 2 is pressed in a state in which the part 4 to be caulked and the shaft part 3 are inserted through a prepared hole 6a of the thin plate-shaped workpiece 6 arranged on a die 7 with a recess part 7a, and the head part 2 is force-fitted into the workpiece 6, while the part 4 to be caulked is caulked by the die 7, and thereby the spacer is attached to the workpiece 6. As the head part 2 is force-fitted, the workpiece 6 is bent inside the recess part 7a so that a circumference wall face of the prepared hole 6a may form a tapered shape, and the part 4 to be caulked by the recess part 7a abuts on the tapered circumference wall face of the prepared hole 6a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
