<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc brake capable of exerting large braking force in an emergency, etc. by increasing a brake effective diameter, regardless of a caliper, without causing increases in dimension and weight of the disc brake or an increase in uneven wear of a pad. <P>SOLUTION: This disc brake for a vehicle including a floating type caliper and a piston opposed type caliper is constituted to include a projecting part 8 for projecting a pad pressing surface 6a arranged on an outer diameter side of a disc rotor 2 to the outer diameter side of the disc rotor 2 rather than an outer diameter surface of a piston 6 at a distal end of the piston 6 for pressing the pad 5. The pad pressing surface 6a of the projecting part 8 is inclined in a direction for separating the pad pressing surface 8a from the disc rotor 2 and in a direction in which the separation amount becomes larger on the outer diameter side of the disc rotor 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
