<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starter system of in-vehicle equipment, and a starting method of the in-vehicle equipment which reduce standby energy of the in-vehicle equipment, and prevent a time period since an ACC of the vehicle is turned on until the in-vehicle equipment gets enabled from being prolonged. <P>SOLUTION: While power supply to a navigation unit 4 is stopped when the ACC of the vehicle 2 is turned off, the power supply to the navigation unit 4 starts, and a CPU 61 of the navigation unit 4 reads out an OS program 46 from a data recording part 32 (S13), and the OS program 46 which has been read out is expanded to an RAM 62 (S14) when it is detected that a front door 11 of the driver's seat opens in a state that the ACC of the vehicle 2 is turned off.
