<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce harmful effects due to amplification of a return signal generated at an imaging element in image restoration processing. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes an image input part 107 which acquires a photographic image generated by an imaging system including an optical system 107a and an imaging element 107b, filter formation parts 101, 102, and 103 which form image restoration filters, and a restoration processing part 105 which generates a restoration image by performing image restoration processing using the image restoration filter on the photographic image.
