<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connector capable of suppressing the decrease of the long-term mechanical reliability of a glass fiber. <P>SOLUTION: An optical fiber connector 1 is attached to a drop cable 2 which is formed by coating an optical fiber core 3 with a cable jacket 5. The optical fiber connector 1 comprises: a jacket fixing part 9 which fixes the cable jacket 5 in a state of coating the optical fiber core 3; a core holding part 81 which holds a tip part 3a of the optical fiber core 3 exposed from the cable jacket 5; and a fiber fixing part 82 which fixes a glass fiber 6 exposed from a coating part 7 at the tip part 3a of the optical fiber core 3. The core holding part 81 holds the tip part 3a of the optical fiber core 3 so that the tip part 3a of the optical fiber core 3 can move in the arrangement direction of the jacket fixing part 9 and the core holding part 81 while suppressing the bending of the tip part 3a of the optical fiber core 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
