PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an image to be displayed more naturally when a virtual object is superimposed on an image taken with an actual camera.

SOLUTION: An image processor obtains an actual camera image of a real space taken with an actual camera; obtains color information on plural sampling points in the obtained image; calculates average colors of the obtained plural sampling points; sets parameters relating to a color and brightness of a light source set in a virtual space on the basis of the calculated average colors; images, with a virtual camera, a virtual object existing in the virtual space illuminated with the light source whose parameters have been set to generate a virtual object image; and generates a superimposed image where the actual camera image is superimposed on the virtual object image to display the superimposed image on a display.
