<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of image defects, cleaning defects, or the like and to improve print processing capability of duplex printing. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus with heat generating parts comprises; first reversing means with an internal reversing path provided in the apparatus for reversing a front surface and a back surface of paper on which an image is formed by an image forming part; second reversing means with an external reversing path for drawing the paper into the apparatus after exposing a part of the paper on which the image is formed by the image forming part outside the apparatus and reversing the front surface and the back surface of the paper; path selection means for selecting the reversing path by switching the internal reversing path and the external reversing path; and temperature determining means for detecting the temperature in the apparatus.
