<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator which includes an ion sending-out unit for sending ion and can improve disinfection performance. <P>SOLUTION: A refrigerator 1 includes an ion sending-out unit 20 which includes a case 21 that contains an intake opening 30a opened on a rear part and a blow-out opening 30b opened on the front surface to form an air passage 30 and is screwed to the rear part of a ceiling surface 2b of a storage chamber 2, a blower 40 arranged in the air passage 30, and an ion generator 50 which is arranged on the lower stream of the blower 40 to generate ion by discharging from an ion generation surface 50a, for taking-in the air in the storage chamber 2 to send out the air which contains ion. The air passage 30 between the ion generation surface 50a and the blow-out opening 30b is formed substantially in straight line, and the upper wall of the air passage 30 is formed of a ceiling surface 2b. The blow-out opening 30b includes a protruding part 23 protruding from the bottom surface of the air passage 30 and including a screw insert hole 23a.
