<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having increased droplet splash suppressing performance. <P>SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire 1 includes a projection 7 for droplet splash reduction at the side wall section. The projection 7 includes a soft rubber layer 71 having rubber hardness according to JIS-A which is less than 55 degrees and smaller than that of a tread rubber 5. When droplets collide with the projection 7, the kinetic energy of the droplets is absorbed and attenuated by the soft rubber layer 71 of the projection 7.
