The purpose of the present invention is to prevent, in stopping water for an intermediate splice unit that connects electric wires, a gap between a water stop agent which is supplied to the intermediate splice unit and a protection sheet that covers the water stop agent. A water stop intermediate splice unit of an electric wire is provided with the intermediate splice unit of an electric wire, the water stop agent that is supplied to the intermediate splice unit and is cured, and the protection sheet that covers the periphery of the water stop agent supplied to the intermediate splice unit. The protection sheet has flexibility so as to be deformable following a deformation of a surface of the water stop agent supplied to the intermediate splice unit and covers the water stop agent cured with the protection sheet in close contact with the surface of the water stop agent.
