Provided is a disposable wear article which comprises a relatively thin body-fluid absorber extending from the front and back waist regions to the crotch region, and, even when a detachable absorbent pad is disposed in the disposable wear article, the aesthetic appearance of the disposable wear article is not harmed and the user does not experience a stiff wearing sensation. At least one of the front and back end parts (12A, 12B) of a crotch main body (12) is attached to a non-skin facing surface of an elastic waist panel (11) by means of joining regions (55, 56) not including a central section in the transverse direction of the crotch main body (12). In addition, central space sections (67, 68) are formed between the elastic waist panel (11) and the crotch main body (12) in non-joining regions (63, 64) positioned in the central section of the crotch main body (12). The body fluid absorber (42) has a sheet shape formed by highly absorbent polymer particles being encapsulated with a liquid permeable sheet, and at least one of the front and back end edge sections (42a, 42b) of the body fluid absorber (42) is positioned in the central space sections (67, 68).
