A component part of a household appliance, in particular a component part of a washing group of a household appliance, made of a polymeric concrete material comprising a polymeric binder system and an inorganic filler; wherein the amount of filler in the material is greater than 60% wt.; and the binder system is an interpenetrated polymeric network, comprising one or more chemically cross-linked first polymers embedded in one or more second polymers and/or elastomers that are not chemically cross-linked.
