<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric element for suppressing the deterioration of cooling performance due to condensation, and suppressing the cooling performance when voltage suddenly changes; and a thermoelectric module. <P>SOLUTION: A thermoelectric element 1 comprises a columnar thermoelectric body portion 11, and a coated layer 12 formed on a side peripheral surface of the thermoelectric element body portion 11. The coated layer 12 is made by conductive particles and insulation material. Therefore, the corrosion of the thermoelectric element body portion due to condensation is suppressed, and the leakage of high frequency components when voltage suddenly changes can be suppressed, thereby preventing the deterioration of cooling performance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
