<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a fuel cell excellent in conductivity and corrosion resistance, and a method of manufacturing the same, in which possible flaws occurring in an electrodeposition coating on a metal base during a manufacturing process are fixed. <P>SOLUTION: A separator 1 for a fuel cell comprises a metal base 2, a conductive resin layer 4 formed by electrodeposition to cover the metal base 2, and a water repellent thin film 5 covering the resin layer 4. The resin layer 4 contains a conductive material. The method for manufacturing the separator 1 for a fuel cell comprises a step of forming the resin layer 4 by applying thermosetting treatment to an electrodeposition coating which is formed on the metal base 2 by electrodeposition with an electrodeposition liquid made by dispersing the conductive material in a resin having the property of electrodepositing, and a step of forming the water repellent thin film 5 by applying drying treatment to a thin film which is formed on the resin layer 4 with a treatment liquid made by dissolving a water repellent material in a solvent and prepared to have viscosity in the range of 0.8 to 100 cP. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
