The present invention relates to a detachable handle that can be used interchangeably for different cooking vessels having different rim thicknesses, wherein the detachable handle comprises: a body having a fixing/holding element for contacting the outer rim wall of a cooking vessel; an actuation holding member including an actuation holding element at one end thereof to contact the inner rim wall of the cooking vessel, and a restoring element installed so as to be horizontally moveable within a receiving chamber at the other end of the actuation holding member, such that it moves forward and rearward with respect to the fixing/holding element and such that the actuation holding member can, together with the fixing/holding element, hold the cooking vessel, wherein the restoring element is used to continuously restore the handle to a detached state; a power-transmitting structure including a rotary knob installed on the upper portion of the body so as to be rotatable perpendicular to the forward/rearward axis of the actuating holding member through the use of a support shaft, and an actuation pin for changing position having an actuation slot, wherein the actuation slot and actuation pin engagingly operate to convert the rotational force of the rotary knob into a linear movement of the actuation holding member so as to move the actuation holding member forward and rearward; and controlling means for adjusting the actuation holding member to the thickness of the rim of the cooking vessel so as to maintain hold of the rim. When the rotary knob is rotated forward and in reverse, the engagement of the actuation slot and the actuation pin, which changes the rotational radius to fit the thickness of the cooking vessel rim, enables all cooking vessels having various rim thicknesses to be grasped and released. |
