In a device for compensating for temperature deformation in cement concrete coverings (bases) of roads, airport runways and taxi-ways, and overpasses, the cement concrete base is completely divided by triangular compensator slabs, the apexes of which are directed towards one another and the line connecting the latter is perpendicular to the axis of the base. Said slabs are joined, with the possibility of continuous mutual slippage, by lateral surfaces to lateral slab surfaces of the divided base with the aid of steel angles laid along the dividing line such that an increase or decrease in the slab dimensions of the divided base due to thermal deformation is compensated for automatically by the triangular compensator slabs correspondingly drawing closer together or moving apart. The continuous autocompensator maintains the continuity of the cement concrete covering (base), at the same time enhancing the travel comfort, and increases the operational durability and reduces the cost of keeping the cement concrete covering (base) in a normal state. |
