PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing crude drug mixture extract or Lactobacillus-fermented material of the extract is provided to relieve atopic dermatitis symptom. CONSTITUTION: A crude drug extract is prepared by extracting crude drug mixture of Sophorae Radix, Glycyrrhizae radix, Lonicerae Flos, Angelicae gigantis Radix, Araliae cordatae Radix, Saussureae Radix, Ledebouriellae Radix, Zizyphi spinosi Semen, Houttuynia cordata, Forsythiae Fructus, Arctii Semen, Epimedii Herba, ginseng, Lithospermi Radix, Sanguisorbae Radix, Cnidii Rhizoma, Scrophulariae Radix and Polygoni cuspidati Radix using water or organic solvent. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating atopic deramatitis contains the crude drug extract or Lactobacillus fermented material of the extact as an active ingredient.
