<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for navigation in a panoramic video sequence displayed on a user terminal. <P>SOLUTION: A video sequence is divided into a plurality of non-overlapping video patches each corresponding to a zone of the video sequence. The video patches required to form a zone of the panoramic video sequence to be displayed on a screen of the user terminal, called the visibility zone, are determined according to navigation commands.
