<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new lithium manganese complex oxide that has high cycle characteristic and preservability at a high temperature when it is used as a positive electrode active material of a lithium ion battery, and high discharge capacity per volume, and a lithium ion secondary battery using such a new lithium manganese complex oxide as a positive electrode active material. <P>SOLUTION: This spinel type lithium manganese composite oxide is obtained by mixing (i) lithium compound, (ii) electrolytic manganese dioxide, (iii) compound of at least one metal (M1) selected from Mg and Al, and (iv) compound of boron (M2) at an atomic ratio of Li:Mn:M1:M2:F of (x+y):(2-y-p-q):p:q, preparing water suspension, drying the water suspension, then burning it at a temperature of 650-900°C. Here, 1.0≤x<1.2, 0<y≤0.2, 1.0<x+y≤1.2, 0<p≤1.0, and 0.0005≤q≤0.1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
