摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matching server and an infrastructure system for a network game with which matching is executed in consideration of network performance in a network game. <P>SOLUTION: The matching server 1 receives network information that a network information-providing server 2 has, as partial network information 1a, and holds matching information 1b for controlling and updating game participation groups of users based on segmented network according to the network information. When the matching server 1 receives matching request from a user, the matching server determines and reports a group to which the user belongs based on matching information 1b and a user segment checked referring to the partial network information 1a, and updates the matching information 1b.
