<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter system for carrying a stent that reduces a force for moving an intraluminal stent to the distal side relatively to a stent holding part to attain stable operation. <P>SOLUTION: The catheter system for carrying a stent includes the intraluminal stent self-expanded to a second diameter from a first diameter, and a stent carrying catheter for carrying the intraluminal stent into a target position in a lumen. The stent carrying catheter includes a cylindrical stent holding part having a lumen part for keeping the intraluminal stent disposed at the distal part, at the first diameter, and a mechanism for moving the intraluminal stent to the distal side relatively to the stent holding part. The stent holding part has two or more parts with different coefficients of static friction at a part in contact with the intraluminal stent on an internal wall that composes the lumen part, while arranging the intraluminal stent in the lumen part and keeping it at the first diameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
