<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalmic solution wherein pranoprofen and a cationic drug are compounded, which contains chlorobutanol stably over time and does not result in precipitation of pranoprofen nor clouding even when chlorobutanol is used as an antiseptic. <P>SOLUTION: The ophthalmic solution with a pH of 5 to 6.5 wherein pranoprofen and the cationic drug are compounded is prepared through (a) a step wherein an aqueous solution of pranoprofen is obtained by adjusting pH of pranoprofen to ≥6.8 with a pH adjuster and dissolving pranoprofen, (b) a step wherein the cationic drug or its aqueous solution is added to and uniformly mixed with the aqueous solution of pranoprofen and (c) a step wherein pH of the aqueous solution obtained in the step (b) is adjusted to 5 to 6.5 with a pH adjuster. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
