The purpose of the present invention is to enable a heat shrink tubing to be attached to a connection area of an exposed core wire section of a cable and a terminal with good positional accuracy. A method for producing a cable with a terminal involves attaching the heat shrink tubing to the connection area of the exposed core wire section of the cable and the terminal. After passing the cable through the heat shrink tubing, the terminal is connected to the exposed core wire section. The heat shrink tubing is then moved to a position where the connection area of the exposed core wire section of the cable and the terminal are covered, and part of the heat shrink tubing is temporarily fixed to at least part of the cable and the terminal. The heat shrink tubing is then heated and attached by thermal contraction.
