<p>The present application addresses the problem of providing a method for manufacturing an embossed disc-shaped member, the method enabling a boss to be formed to have a desired height using simplified facilities, and an apparatus for manufacturing the embossed disc-shaped member. To this end, one aspect of the present invention provides a method for manufacturing an embossed disc-shaped member. The method includes a shoulder forming step of allowing a second portion of a disc-shaped blank, the second portion being located radially inwardly with respect to a first portion of the blank, to be moved in a first direction or in the direction of thickness of the blank relative to the first portion in order to form a shoulder between the first portion and the second portion; a cone-shaped portion forming step of allowing the second portion to be moved relative to the first portion in a second direction opposite to the first direction and thereby eliminating the shoulder in order to form a cone-shaped portion which is protruded in the second direction at an area located radially inwardly with respect to the second portion; and a burring step of burring the cone-shaped portion to form the boss.</p> |
