The method involves attaching an energy producer or an energy consumer at a connection point (P). Series circuits are connected parallel to each other. The series circuits are composed of choke coils and switches e.g. insulated gate bipolar transistors. The choke coils and the switches are coupled with the connection point. The switches are closed. A voltage (Vpcc) lying at the connection point is influenced. A converter circuit is influenced in tuned manner so that the voltage passes over a desired value. An independent claim is also included for an electrical circuit for testing an energy producer or an energy consumer connected to an electrical power supply network.
