The knitting machine has a needle bed (100) and needle channels (10), in which the insert parts, particularly knitting needles (1) are longitudinally displaceably mounted. The insert parts have a driving foot (13) which protrudes the upper side of the needle bed. The stop surface (14) is fitted not at the locking surface (101) only in driving foot that is raised from the needle bed.
