<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable automatic selection of whether a data output from a receiver is to remain a scrambled one or to be a descrambled one, by inserting a control signal that complies with program provider's intent into a transmission signal. <P>SOLUTION: On a transmission side, control information for controlling whether an output is to remain a scrambled one or to be a descrambled one is inserted into the a transmission signal. A receiving side comprises: a descrambler that cancels scramble of the transmission signal; a demultiplexer that demultiplexes a multiplexed signal output from the descrambler into encoded video and audio data, outputs the data to a source decoder, extracts the control information, and outputs the control information to a CPU; the CPU that outputs a changeover control signal for determining whether a signal remaining scrambled is output or a signal after descrambling is output from the control information; and a switch that performs a changeover according to the changeover control signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
