<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate attaching operation of a device for preventing creeping up of a vine on a post-like object erected on the ground. <P>SOLUTION: The device for preventing creeping up of a vine includes a vine repellent sheet 3 which can be wrapped around a post-like object 1 erected on the ground so as to cover the outer peripheral surface of the post-like object 1, and a cable body 4 one end of which in length direction is connected to either one end 3b of the repellent sheet 3 in circumferential direction of the post-like body 1 or a middle part 3a of the repellent sheet 3, with the other end in length direction being hooked on the other. By hooking of the cable body 4, the inside surface of a portion ranging from the one end 3b of the repellent sheet 3 to the middle part 3a is caused to abut on the outer peripheral surface of the post-like body 1.
