<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form furrows without using a conventional wing hiller provided as an attachment, and to facilitate shift to a regular tilling state. <P>SOLUTION: In the walking type plant husbandry machine 1 including a rotary tilling part 4, the tilling part 4 includes a tilling shaft 12 with tilling tines 11, a rotary cover 13 which covers the upper part of the tilling shaft 12, an elastically deformable rear cover 14 disposed in the rear end of the rotary cover 13 in such a way as vertically rotatably for levelling the tilling soil, and a rear member 21 disposed in the rear of the rear cover 14 in such a way that the position can be changed in the vertical direction.
