<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver comprising priority means and reservation processing means which realize optimum situation when a download reservation and a recording reservation are overlapped. <P>SOLUTION: When setting a recording reservation or a download reservation, a receiver determines whether a recording area for recording a content of the reservation object exists. If the recording area has a free capacity, the receiver secures the recording area and at the same time registers the reservation. If the recording area has no free capacity, and when setting the recording reservation, the receiver extracts the download reservation from registered reservations, and registers the recording reservation by changing the recording area secured for download reservation to record the recording reservation, and when setting the download reservation, registers the download reservation on a condition that the download reservation can not be completely received. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
