<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coating a base material at a razor cutting edge with a hard coating layer, without using an intermediate layer such that adhesion to the base material is promoted. <P>SOLUTION: Sputtering of a target having graphite doped with a metal causes a coating layer 16 made of metal-doped diamond-like-carbon to be directly vapor-deposited onto the polished cutting edge of the razor and the base material 12 in proximity thereto. Subsequently, an outside layer 18 made of polytetrafluoroethylene is coated on the coating layer made of the diamond-like-carbon doped with the metal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
