<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biocompatible, non-immunogenic, andnonbiologically degradable implant capable of a long-term continuous release of a neurotoxin as an effective treatment for a human patient. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is a controlled release system containing (a) polymer matrix and (b) botulinum toxin A existing in the polymer matrix.
