<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible in an electrochemical device of laminate sheathed type to prevent a rupture caused by an internal pressure rise, and to discharge gas or an electrolyte to a desired place while maintaining external dimensions and electrical performance, without incurring an increase in cost. <P>SOLUTION: An electrochemical device 1a comprises a film-like outer sheath 100 in which a laminate 50 which has sheet-like electrodes (10p, 10n) laminated therein via a separator 30 and an electrolyte 51 are hermetically sealed. The outer sheath is adhered in an adhesive area 60 which borders the periphery of two sheets of film material (100a, 100b) in the form of a frame, and the laminate is disposed inside the frame-like adhesive area. In part of the adhesive area, an internal pressure release section 70 which, while being open to the outside of the outer sheath, extends in a convex form toward the inner periphery thereof and which is reduced in width wd than the other part of the adhesive area, is formed. The internal pressure release section, as the adhesive area peels off from the inner peripheral side to the outer peripheral side pursuant to a rise in internal pressure, lets the inside and outside of the outer sheath communicate before the other area to release the internal pressure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
