<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue reading from a corresponding place in a different recording layer even though a currently playedback recording layer can not be read due to some trouble. <P>SOLUTION: This playback apparatus has an optical head 2 for reading information from each recording layer to playback a hybrid optical disk 1 having a recording layer for a DVD layer and a BD layer. The playback apparatus has an abnormality detecting part 12 for detecting an abnormality about playback during reading information from the BD layer by the optical head 2, and a selection control part 13 for selecting a place corresponding to a place determined to be abnormal as a reading target by the optical head 2 in the DVD layer when the abnormality detecting part 12 detects the abnormality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
