This device for monitoring the operation of a nuclear power plant is provided with functional integration VDU (21) having a regular use system VDU (32) for monitoring the operation of the nuclear power plant when in a normal state and a security system VDU (31) that halts the nuclear power plant during malfunctions, and is further provided with a security system VDU (22) that causes the halting of the nuclear power plant during malfunctions. By means of providing a block device that inhibits the operation of the security system VDU (31) during malfunctioning of the functional integration VDU (21), it is possible to simplify operation manipulations in the nuclear power plant, and it is possible to secure a high level of safety of operational control.
