The problem of the present invention involves providing a technology whereby the necessary fastening strength and sealing ability can be ensured when an EGR gas passage provided within a water jacket is fastened to a cylinder head. The EGR gas passage with which the cylinder head of the present invention is provided is equipped with a hollow tube provided within the water jacket through which the EGR gas flows, and terminal members having insertion ports in which the end parts of the aforementioned hollow tube can be inserted and fastened. The terminal members have: a bottom part in which the insertion portion is provided; side wall parts provided so as to be connected to the bottom part; and wedge parts, which are provided projecting outward from the exterior surfaces of the side parts, and which have a taper surface that inclines and opposes the wall surface of the cylinder head and is inclined with respect to the direction of flow of the EGR gas. The EGR gas passage is fastened to the cylinder head by sandwiching the wedge parts of the terminal members by means of fastening members which are fastened to the cylinder head and by means of the wall surfaces of the cylinder head. |
