<p>Brewster plates are welded continuously and without deformation onto a tube having the same dia. using a tubular support to which the tube is fixed. The support is rotated about its axis and means co-operate with it to provide alternative movement parallel to its axis. An optical means e.g., a lens concentrates an energy beam esp., a CO2 laser into a point which is in the line of contact of the Brewster plate and the tube and so welds them.</p> |
