In order to improve the safety of a discharging battery in a discharge system that outputs DC power from a vehicle battery to outside said battery, said discharge system is provided with: an electric automobile (100) in which a battery unit (101) is mounted; and a discharge device (200) that discharges the battery unit (101). In the electric automobile (100), switches (SW1 and SW2) and switching elements (Q1 and Q2) are spliced into power lines (110) that connect the battery unit (101) to a connector (104) to which the discharge device (200) is connected. Upon permission from the discharge device (200) and a battery management unit (102), said switches (SW1 and SW2) close, allowing the power lines (110) to conduct. When discharging the battery unit (101), the switching elements (Q1 and Q2) regulate the current flowing through the power lines (110).
