<p>A drive device capable of improving the precision of widthwise position control of a moving recording tape. Said drive device (60) is provided with: a hub (12) around which the recording tape (T) is wound; a pair of flanges (14 and 16) that are provided on both sides of the hub (12) in the axial direction thereof and control the widthwise position of the recording tape (T); a joining member (54) that joins the outer edges of the pair of flanges (14 and 16) to each other, at least in parts where the recording tape (T) does not travel; and a housing (61) inside which there is a space where the recording tape (T) travels. An anchor leg (58) provided on the joining member (54) is affixed to a bottom plate (61A) of the housing (61).</p> |
