BACKLIGHT UNIT AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display device with the same are provided to emit light of uniform brightness using a light diffusing pattern and a light guide plate. CONSTITUTION: An optical sheet(140) makes brightness of light of a light source(170b) uniform. A light guide plate(150) is located between the optical sheet and a bottom cover(160). The light guide plate emits the light in a specific direction. The light guide plate includes a plate(150c), light scattering patterns(150d), and first and second patterns(150a,150b) on the plate. The first and second patterns are extended in first and second directions.
